CMH GROUP OFFICIALLY LAUNCH FOTON IN SOUTH AFRICA
Foton in partnership with Combined Motor Holdings Limited (CMH), launched its latest line-up of light commercial vehicles in South Africa.

The launch event introduced the wide range of vehicles, making it the largest line-up launch from a single brand this year. The vehicles unveiled at the launch include:
- Tunland Double Cab 2.0 Diesel
- Tunland Hi Rider Single Cab 2.0 Diesel
- View Minibus (15-seater luxury automatic shuttle bus) 2.0 Diesel
- Asambe (meaning “let’s go” in Zulu), a 16-seater taxi
- Miler (2.1 Ton Truck)
- eAumark (Fully electric 4 Ton Truck)
- eTruckmate (Fully electric 1.2 Ton Mini Truck)
- eView Panel Van (Fully electric LWB Panel Van)
Each of these models is designed to cater to the diverse needs of South African drivers, with Foton aiming to deliver superior performance, advanced safety features, and environmental consciousness.
The new range of vehicles boasts modern technological features aligned to convenience and safety. Notably, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come standard in all double cab models, ensuring integration of smartphones for safer and more comfortable driving experience. The brand’s longstanding commitment to innovation and reliability has made it the number one commercial vehicle brand in China for 19 consecutive years.
CMH Group, a key player in the South African automotive market, is the exclusive distributor of Foton’s new vehicle line-up. Foton South Africa will boast a network of 40 dealerships strategically located across the country. This extensive dealer network will ensure convenient access to sales, maintenance, and support services.
In addition to its comprehensive dealer network, Foton has established a state-of-the-art 10’000m² parts warehouse managed by Mandarin Parts Distributors (PTY) Ltd. This facility is dedicated to supporting after-sales service needs.

The Foton launch is one of many Asian brands marking their entry into the South African market.
A maximum towing capacity of 3,000kg and payload capacity of 1,000kg are on the books, and each DC provides Eco, Normal, and Sport drive modes.
